”I believe in the quality of union-built, American-made vehicles and stand squarely behind the people of the UAW Region 9 and their contributions to our local and national economy,” said Mayor Walsh. “It is an honor to have the support of the UAW.”

Walsh has also received the endorsements of six major unions, including IBEW Local 43, IBEW Local 97, the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 158 and the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council No. 4, Local 31.

If there’s any group of workers I’d trust to endorse an official its definitely auto workers, so this endorsement says a lot. I’m often driving between my home in New York and my home in Hamilton ON, so I’m speaking with auto workers quite often. My auto body mechanic in Hamilton at https://www.tiptopautobody.ca/ is a great example of someone who’s opinion should be considered, a very knowledgeable man who serves the community well. It’s sad but true that the working class is often underheard when it comes to political matters so I love to see stuff like this. Cheers.
