Steri-Pharma LLC purchased the former Hanford Pharmaceuticals facility on West St. on the Near Westside in 2009 and began production of antibiotics in 2010. 

In the ensuing years they steadily increased production capacity and staffing as they prepared for a larger expansion opportunity. During that time my office worked with them to address short term permitting and zoning issues and provide longer term predevelopment assistance. 

In April 2017 Steri-Pharma announced plans to build an 18,500-square-foot addition to accommodate new sterile production and filling rooms and warehouse space. The $50 million project, which is slated to start this year, is expected create 72 new full-time jobs.
