The Blarney Stone is an historic landmark on Tipperary Hill and holds a special place in my heart both personally and professionally. Personally, it has hosted countless special family occasions over the years under the ownership of my cousin, Steve Dorsey.

Professionally, I had the opportunity to help the bar's current owner, Matt Bruce, and his team undertake a significant expansion in 2014. The expansion included a new banquet room, additional indoor and outdoor seating, and new off street parking. When an adjacent vacant, tax delinquent house stood in the way of the expansion, I was able to help guide them though the process to acquire and demolish the property. I was also able to help guide them through the permitting and zoning approval process.

As Mayor, I will place a renewed focus on supporting our neighborhood businesses districts and the locally owned businesses that make us uniquely Syracuse.
